Going Remote
Explore the Tongass
Sitka, Alaska is home base for Harris Aircraft Services, right in the heart of the Tongass National Forest. There are more than 150 rustic cabins scattered throughout the area at remote lakes and seaside. Many of the cabins are accessible only by float plane, boat, or a strenuous hike. Outdoor enthusiasts, hunters, and fisherman all enjoy them. Maybe it's your turn? Here are a few popular cabins in our area, but there are many more. Follow the links to get more details about each cabin, see area maps, and make reservations. Many cabins are only open seasonally as ice inhibits landing aircraft on mountain lakes.
