Seating 8 passengers, the Piper Chieftain offers regular runway to runway service to Hoonah, Juneau, Kake, and Klawock. This twin engine light commuter aircraft offers a dependable commute. Harris Aircraft Services has two Piper Chieftains in their fleet. One is solely dedicated to Medevac Service.

By participating in the Alaska Capstone Program, our Piper Chieftains have been equipped with the Chelton Synthetic Vision EFIS avionics package with built in redundancy and error detection. This cutting edge technology makes up a
stand-alone GPS navigation system and replaces conventional “steam gauge” instruments. Using this advanced technology developed by Chelton Flight Systems we are able to take advantage of special Capstone low altitude airways and instrument approaches into every airport in SE Alaska.

The Chelton FlightLogic Synthetic Vision EFIS delivers unsurpassed situational awareness and simplified flight management capabilities. The Chelton EFIS combines advanced Heads Up Display (HUD) symbology with real-time forward-looking 3-D terrain rendering and Highway In The Sky (HITS). Additionally, the Chelton EFIS system will display real time traffic & weather via an onboard datalink. The result of all this modern technology is a dramatically reduced pilot workload and unprecedented safety.
